I dream of Palm Beach

Hello everyone! Did you hear about Target next collaboration?

Cold or no cold (and annoying emails aside), I felt like being visited by the Ghost of Summer Yet to Come when I flipped through Target next collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer. Ah, that hammock! And the flip-flops with gold details! I need to start saving up.

Collection hit stores on April 19.

When two seasons collide

Hello everyone! How cold is it where you live?

Because it is probably cold where you are, if you live anywhere north of Phoenix (yep, there are winter storm warnings in New Mexico as well). Although more typical winter temperatures (whatever that means) are in store according to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist, snow, ice and rain will still disrupt air travel from Cleveland to New York City. (So much for that winter escape plan). To sum it all up, spring it is still faaar away.

Which is why I am getting increasingly annoyed at emails about 1) winter escapes 2) wardrobe spring refresh, even if on sale (sorry The Outnet). Who's with me?

A new logo!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!

I am patting myself on the back for quite a productive week, which has unexpectedly ended... with a new logo! I have been toying with this idea for a while and suddenly the color scheme worked out. I hope you like it! (Although right after I had uploaded it to all my social networks' profile I had a last minute idea. Can you spot it in the board above?)

I am not buying any workout gear (and I am not sorry about it)

Hello everyone! Have you signed up for the gym?

It is the beginning of January, after all, and isn't everyone's top resolution getting in better shape? (I just discovered that the health craze started six months ago, but I had honestly not realized.) The fashion industry knows about it, of course. Every email I get right now (and probably you too) advertises sales of workout clothes. Sears has even discounted his workout machines. This morning quinoa snacks at my local Maxi were on sale.

Although I decided a long time ago not to formalize any more this intention amongst my own resolutions, I am trying to pay more attention to what I eat and how much I get off my butt. This morning I walked up five flight of stairs to get to my office and I felt -- mentally -- quite good about it. I bought the quinoa snacks above for the office -- never miss a good sale --, and I did not hate them.

My goodness now that I think about I am turning into a health monster, for my (admittedly low) standards. But I am not signing up for the gym and I am most definitely not buying any workout gear, because: 1) Over the years, I could have afforded a Chanel bag with the money I spent on gym fees that seldom paid off; 2) I have too many clothes, especially since...; 3) ... you may remember the sport trend has been going strong in the past few seasons, and I have been lured into buying more workout clothes that I needed by convincing myself that I wold have used it for other purposes (which never happened); 4) wasting money on workout clothes makes me feel two times more depressed than wasting money on gym fees alone.

I will just continue to take the stairs. If I really commit to it, I may even try to workout with Karlie Kloss.

Back to the office in 2015

Hello everyone and happy New Year!

How did you spend the holidays? My parents came back to visit us, so we mixed family time and fun activities outside the house -- although we were all a bit bummed by the lack of snow. In fact, I cannot believe how fast the past two weeks have gone. While we were going through them it felt time was passing by slowly, yet here I am now sitting at my office desk and wondering about those flying reindeers. And those resolutions. (More on the latter in another post).

I am about to leave to run a few errands for tomorrow's Befana, and I am happy about how productive my first morning at the office has been. I have organized my conference travel, got through my emails (delete. delete. repeat delete), tackled the most urgent things, and reconnected with my Garance Doré obsession fascination by ordering these notebooks. (They are not sold out! Order directly through Rifle Paper & Co. if you are interested).

I hope your first day at the office is productive as well! (If not, stay positive: slightly more than 3 hours left to go).
