Hello everyone! How do you handle presents from out-of-town relatives?

For the first time this year, we will celebrate the holidays without either my parents or my in-laws. They have all mailed us presents, however, which brought upon us the dilemma: how should we give these presents to my son without spoiling his belief in Santa? Should we perhaps give them to him before Christmas, or maybe after? We are afraid that in either case this "spread" of presents will take his attention away from Christmas itself. Therefore we opted for putting them under the Christmas tree, indicating that they are from his grandparents, but that he will not be able to open them until Christmas Day. He tried to convince us to open just one, but in the end gave up. Later on we just caught him cutely sorting through them, to put his own presents all on one side...
